I am starting to realise that life isn't just about the things you fill it with. But that doesn't mean I don't still love these beautiful things. I am very lucky to have learnt the things I know about Vintage so if you want to know anything about any decade of Vintage Attire and Homeware please just ask. I specialise in 1920's through to the 1990's. Fashion is everchanging but grounded in the basic principle that we use it to express our individuality and personality.

So excited
This Saturday is The Vintage Cause's first big event at Vie Champagne and Cocktail Lounge. A great deal of work has gone into this event, promoting and touting for stalls. I hope that peopel turn up! There is going to be a fantastic selection of stalls for everyone to find that little something special for Christmas stockings xxx

Good Afternoon
Hello Wednesday,
God what a hectic day! I have been planning and advertising all day and feel relieved that I am getting somewhere. My lovely extended family have been very supportive, big shout out to Paula, Paul, Sandra and Ernie. They know I love them to pieces and I really love how loyal and kind they have always been to me. I feel very lucky to have them in my life and the faith they have in my abilities and passion for vintage clothing has given me the confidence to carry on even though it isnt always easy. It probably would have been easier for them to turn their backs on me because of things that happened over the last year but they haven't.
Tomorrow is Flea Market day and I am excited, I have some beautiful pieces this week and looking forward to chating with my lovely regular customers

Autumn
Autumn is clearly the best time of the year... The air is so crisp and it helps to clear out the fog in a persons mind. It is almost like the season is a time to prepare for leaving the past behind. It has been such a strange year and as we are coming into the final months of 2011 I am becoming aware of the sacrifices I have been forced to make to lead my life the way I want to. I have lost love, friends and people that I felt were friends but turned out to be mere blips in my timeline. I am happy that I am in a place where I can reflect on mistakes and misgivings without feeling bitter. I know that there will be elements of the past that I will have face over the next 6 months but then I will be able to put it all behind me. Until then I will enjoy the autumn and winter and wave goodbye to 2011 xx
This week
Well it has been quite a good week all in all... Yesterday I was at another small market and made some good contacts for my next event at Vie Champagne and Cocktail Lounge.... All good for the future of The Vintage Cause xx

Vintage Clothes
The reason I am so passionate about vintage attire is mainly because the significant fact that each piece you own has already been through so much before it reaches you. It has molded peoples lives, it may be a skirt a woman wore when she met the man she was going to marry, or a dress bought for someone who was going through a difficult time and hadn't had a new dress for years. The fact that these clothes hold peoples histories give them a secret power. You have no idea what a person can achieve when they are given the confidence to take a prod step forward. Clothes give a person individuality and help you create the persona you want.
